Miki Desai retired as a full professor in April 2009 from the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where he was teaching from 1981 onwards. Over the years, Miki has been teaching Design Studios, Basic Design and a few theory courses, mainly Urban Conservation and History of Vernacular and Colonial Architecture of India.

Madhavi Desai has been an adjunct faculty at the same institution since 1986. The course Introduction to Research in Architecture was designed, introduced and taught by her for about 15 years. She now teaches Humanities I: "Society, Culture and the Built Environment."
